Since 2005, the
Editions Disco label has been releasing quality disco re-edits. Many of these 12-inch singles include mixes by New York's
Prince Language, although the releases have also included re-edits from
Mr. L,
Lee Douglas,
How & Why?,and a few others. If your a fan of the re-edits
Moxie or
Tangoterje puts out, than these edits are right up your alley. Some of my favorite tracks are How & Why's re-edit of
Undisputed Truth's "
Undisputed", which is a soul flavoured disco gem. I'm also a huge fan of Prince Language's edit of Jean-Luc Ponty's "
In The Fast Lane", which reminds me of a backing beat for
Arthur Russell's
Calling Out of Context LP. Also, you can't deny the brilliance of Prince Language's take on
Gino Soccio's "
Love Is". A great new label for re-discovering forgotten gems along with bringing new life to disco.

Hi Hi,
have you already heard this one http://www.discogs.com/release/939010 ?
Yo son edit is so so so nice!!!
fantastic stuff as usual, I really dig the paul simon on the flip too.. most of the 12's on this label are good fun...
Gomson- I have heard that record, and I agree it is amazing! I'll probably try to include it on a future post.
Christopher- I love the Paul Simon song as well. Reminds me of Tangoterje's Diamond Dub. Not a huge Paul Simon fan, however, his songs seem good to re-edit.
