Karma Ride

After a storm of remixes and a series of 12-inche singles, not to mention their standout LP Movements, Booka Shade has spent most of this year touring all over the world. However, the tech-house duo consisting of Walter Merziger and Arno Kammermeier, are back with their first 12-inch single of the year entitled, Tickle. This release consists of the title track, "Tickle" along with the b-side track "Karma Car". Both of these tracks continue along the same path that they left us with the Movements LP, which is great news by all means. The title track really focuses on the bass groove while, Arno lays down some solid percussion. On the flip "Karma Car" has a nice downtempo sound, ideal track for the late-night drive.

Booka Shade will continue their exhausting touring schedule for a good portion of the year, including this year's Detroit Music Festival. I had a chance to play with and meet these two guys back in March at San Francisco's Mezzanine. Besides being two of the nicest people that I've come into contact, Booka Shade puts on one of the best shows you could see. So don't hesitate, go see them and buy the new single!
