A few weeks back,
The Stranger, a Seattle independent newspaper that I also
blog for, published an article I did on the effect that
Giorgio Moroder's classic 1977 album
From Here to Eternity had on early Italo-Disco. The article discusses Moroder's experimentation with electronics, drum-machines, and computerized looping, and how that helped influence many upcoming disco producers in Europe and Canada. The article is meant to be a basic introduction for music lovers who have never heard Italo or Moroder. For those that don't live in Seattle, WA., I thought I would share the online version which has been posted on The Stranger's website.
Turn You On: Giorgio MoroderENJOY!
