I was excited to get my recently purchased copy of Larry Page Orchestra's 1977 disco classic Erotic Soul in the mail today. For those that may not know, producer Larry page jumped into the disco arena, like many during the late 1970's, and released a couple of records under the name Larry Page Orchestra. The albums have a very "Vince Montana Jr./ Salsoul Orchestra" feel to them, relying mostly on orchestrated instrumentation with very few lead vocals. This group caught my eye with the album-title track "Erotic Soul", which was also the groups biggest and most well-know single during it's short-lived existence. Overall, if your into that more late 70's instrumental disco that groups like The Salsoul Orchestra and MFSB mastered, this release might be right up your alley.

I like this one! It sounds like Barry White's Love Unlimited Orchestra.
