In 1981, Manuel Göttsching released E2-E4, which is one the most influential electronic records of all-time. This 59 minute song was well ahead of it's time and helped influence the cosmic disco house genre of today. Listening to E2-E4, you can definately hear where artists like Prins Thomas, Lindstrom, Blackbelt Andersen, Force of Nature, etc. where influenced. To accommodate the 25th Anniversary of E2-E4's original release, the good people at Ashra are re-releasing a special edition of this amazing album, which includes a 3-page text written booklet by Manuel Göttsching. In this booklet he talks about the title, how this album came into being and gives further previously unreleased information about E2-E4 (as Manuel has not spoken about certain aspects yet...).
