Born Under Punches

One thing about me, everyone should know is that I'm a huge Talking heads fan. I can never get enough of David Byrne's vocals - very creative. So when I came across this re-edit of Talking Heads' Born Under Punches by Fuzz Against Junk, I was very excited to see what this production duo (Andy Williams & Gordon Smith), would do to an already amazing song. And to anyones suprise, they took the 1980 orginal to the next level. This 9 minute re-edit really emphasizes the lead saxophone that is some what buried in the original, along with nice additional percussion. This 12-inch put out by Nuphonic in 1999 also sports a solid remix from DJ Harvey on the B-side. Another classic release from Nuphonic and the Fuzz Against Junk crew.

Great track ! It's not a re-edit. It was covered, plain and simple.
