More Of That Bamboo Gooja

In 1979, Supermax's Kurt Hauenstein produced the italo-funk project Bamboo. This project released three records, including the classic self-titled LP, Bamboo, which included classic disco cuts "Spaceship Crashing", "Hustlers Of Live Never Survive", and "Give Me Some More Of That Gooja". This rare vinyl-only release came out on the WEA Musik label located in Germany. "Spaceship Crashing" was later included on the Cosmic Dancer - Voyage One compilation in 2005. The whole Bamboo LP is an amazing record that goes for alot of money, however if you can somehow get your hands on it, don't hesitate in buying it. Also note the amazing album artwork, classic.

Just wanted to drop a note of appreciation... Discovered the blog a few months back after "blindly" purchasing Phantom Slasher's Gruble. Was so blown away by it, that I hit the web to get some info and found your blog. Subsequently also found it through Disco Delivery and T.M.L. Must say that I'm hooked! Fantastic resource for a genre of music of which I'd previously had very little knowledge--other than random tracks here and there on various compilations, and listening to Liza Richardson, Jason Bentley on KCRW here in L.A. Your picks are really well-selected; and I appreciated your razor-sharp focus. You're quite the tastemaker. Also digging your Jane Fonda track... Thanks again for your efforts. Again, very much appreciated!

I've been looking for this track for a while...heard it on Beats in Space a few months back. I didn't know it was on a comp. in 2005.
