Here is a 1983 classic entitled "Heat You Up (Melt You Down)" by Shirley Lites that many of you might already know. I put this record on for the first time in quite some time the other day while I was re-organizing my records and I realized just how much I loved this classic "post-disco era" West End Records released dance cut. From what I could find, Shirley Lites didn't have much of a musical career outside of this track, however with that being said this track was an influential bridge between the disco underground and the early Chicago house scene. I think I will dust this one off and break it out for tomorrow night. A perfect selection for any hot August mix!

I don't know how you do it, but every track on your blog is a good one!
she's also got another great track slip away that is earlier and more classy cocktails/NY disco style like Crusaders/Odyssey which is really good
classic jam. thanks for the reminder :)
The instrumental would be much appreciated ....still, thanks so much.
