Play Me, Love Me

It's Friday, so let's end the week with a sexy disco gem from Jo Bisso entitled "Play Me". This sixteen minute-plus funky erotic track is featured on Bisso's 1978 album Mademoiselle. The song is broken in four continous parts, each with a different sub-title which include Part 1: Desires , Part 2: I Wanna Love , Part 3: You Are Loving Me , and Part 4: Burning. I usually find with most disco medley's that there are some sections I am always happy to skip, however I find that "Play Me" is good from start to finish, burning all the fat that could have existed. Regardless, the song is definitely one of my favorites by Bisso, who has released some amazing disco songs throught the late seventies. Enjoy your weekend!

This is a hot ass track you just made my Friday. This sounds hot in a club. Ron Hardy used to spin this at the Muzic Box in Chicago and I remember hearing at the Garage and the Saint in nyc.

This song perfectly captures the excesses and the bombast of the 70's!

I immediately think of other bombastic LONGGGGG....songs such as Jumbo's "Turn On To Love" when I hear songs such as this one.

I like these long ass songs; my wife can't stand them! I usually just go into my computer room with my smoking jacket on, cocktail in hand, close the door, and crank the computer speakers!!

Some of you naysayers may be thinking - "Thurston, what do you know about the 70's?" To which I remind people - I snuck into Studio 54 back in 1979. I was only 11 years old, but I wore a fake beard and it fooled the dumb ass doorman! I hung out with Gary Coleman and Todd Bridges in the back room. They were a lot of fun in those days!

Thanks again TJ for this song! I will be burning some CDs for my trip to Greece this coming Friday, and this one will make the cut!
