A Disco Treasure: Silver, Platinum & Gold

I first heard Silver, Platinum & Gold back when they were featured on Dimitri From Paris's excellent disco compilation Disco Forever with the track "I Got A Thing". Ever since then I've been interested in hearing more from the group that features vocalists Renee King, Edna Richardson, and Flo King. I haven't been able to track down their only self-titled album, which was released in 1976, however I did pick-up a bootlegged version of the song "Just Friends" a while back, as it is featured on the third record released from the "Underground Disco Classics" series. On this "unofficial" EP, Silver, Platinum & Gold are featured with the solid disco cut "Just Friends" which has an overall similiar feel to "I Got A Thing". That being said, I'm still in the hunt for the original LP if anyone is willing to part with it. For now, however, I'll definitely sit back and enjoy the few disco classics I've been able to find from what was Silver, Platinum & Gold.
