Jungle Boogie

Let's end the week with a disco gem titled "Freakin' Time" by Asphalt Jungle. This funky cut was released as a twelve-inch single in 1979. The two sides of the record consists of two slightly different versions, Part 1 and Part 2 of the song. I heard this track the other night when I was at the Grow Up disco party and it has consistly been a personal favorite of mine for quite sometime. Enjoy your weekend!

A great track, allthough I find Pt.2 the best. You should also check out The Funk Fusion Band's cover of the song (renamed Can You Feel It) WMOT 12" 1981. A classic piece of Jazz/Funk/Disco that runs 8:10! ...and it's even better than the original :-)

Thanks for the info on the Funk Fusion Band, I'll definately try to hunt down that track. I also will try to get part 2 of the Asphalt Jungle "Freakin' Time" up on the blog at some point in the next few weeks so that people can compare the two. Thanks for checking in!
