With Lindstrom & Sole releasing their new heavy disco dub 12" Let's Practice (Which you can hear on the BiBaBiDi blog), which is mighty fine I must add, I thought I would take this time to highlight one of my favorite Lindstrom releases (That definately doesn't get enough due.). In 2005, Tokyo based record label Outergaze released Lindstrom's 10" single Violent Group which also appears on Another Side of Lindstrom LP. This 10" record consisted of two songs, "Violent Group", and my personal favorite, the quirky and jazzy "Violent Group (Disco Version)". In my opinion this single is right up there with his other classics Another Station and I Feel Space. You decide for yourself.

I posted 'Violent Disco' not long after I started ANOE - got maybe 8 downloads... I think its one of Lindstroms best and apart from the Mudd release, easily the best thing on OuterGaze, no including the Mudd release. Their releases seem to promise so much in theory but come out a bit average on listening to them, though i reckon they're still going to do some great things... keep up the good work...
Hi, absolutely tremendous posting (particularly the disco versio), along with the rest. i like the space disco focus. Anyway, I had my first live filling with lindstrom and prins thomas at the sub club in glasgow a week past saturday. So bloody grovey and so quirky, I did not sit down all night!
Hi there,
please let me correct 2 things: it's Lindstrom & Solale and the name of the Ep is Let's PractiSe :)
Gomson, you are right. I was in a rush and I got sloppy with the mp3 post. Anyways, I believe it's now been corrected. Thanks for catching the mistake.
;) you're welcome.
Let's Practice is great. Amazing in headphones. Thanks for posting.
anyone else notice the similarity between the disco version .. the synth melody.. and runaway by gary's gang?
