The Mezzanine Takeover pt.1

It's been a slow month as far as updates, however everything should start to pick-up as I move from Sacramento, Ca. to Seattle, Wa. in a couple of weeks. Look for at least three to four updates a week come February.

Anyways, this post will be a two-part post on The Mezzanine in San Francisco, in which you'll need to come back tomorrow for the second part.

PART 1
The Mezzanine in San Francisco, has been hosting some of the best parties, shows, and club nights, on the west coast the past few years. Some of the high-profile acts that have played or DJ'ed are Justice, Hot Chip, James Murphy, Juan Maclean, !!!, The Knife, Soulwax, Ladytron, Fischerspooner, MSTRKRFT, etc. However this spring, the Mezzanine might have put together there best string of shows yet. On Friday, February 9th, the Mezzanine will be putting on a Demon Days event with performances from Carl Craig, Lindstrom, and a host of notable DJ's. If that's not the one-two punch of the century, you probably need your head examined. On top of that and after doing some research, it seems that Lindstrom will only be playing 3 shows(in 3 days) here in the states: New York, Chicago, and SF. This event goes until 4 in the morning, and should be a night to be remembered. I'm even flying in from Seattle just to see this show. Anyways, tickets are only $10, and I reccommend buying them now.

I will leave you with a couple of my favorite tracks off Carl Craig's The Album Formerly Known As… LP and Lindstrom's Another Side of Lindstrom.

Carl Craig - A Wonderful Life
Carl Craig - Mind Of A Machine
Lindstrom - Take Me To The Metro (Malerhaugen dub)
Lindstrom - Eeey

Feb 9 is actually a Friday... I know this because it is my birthday and also the day that Switch is playing in Chicago!!!

The Mezzanine shows sound dope, but I can't think of a better birthday gift than Mr. Rave Taylor bumpin on a F1 system!
