We Like Moroder

Another 'Snow Day' here in Seattle and everything seems to be closed...let's just say I'm pretty tired of the snow at this point. That being said, I thought I would take this time to post one of the many classic Giorgio Moroder tracks in "First Hand Experience In Second Hand Love". This early italo gem was one of the many solid cuts and a personal favorite from Moroder's 1977 masterpiece From Here To Eternity. On a slow cold day, like today, in which I need a little bit of a "pick me up", a dose of classic Moroder is exactly what I need. What is you favorite Moroder track?

Even though today I posted "First Hand Experience In Second Hand Love" and it does happen to be one of my favorite Moroder tracks, I have to say my all-time favorite Moroder cut is probably "I Wanna Funk With You Tonite" off his 1976 LP Knights In White Satin.

Mine would have to be 'In Love With Love'. Moroder is my disco god.

Toss up between "tears" and "The Chase"

If it's a moroder track released under his own name or largely a solo effort, I'll go with "lost angeles", "i'm left you're right she's gone", and the ubiquitous "chase", and maybe "knights in white satin" just for his sheer breathy delivery.

if it's something he produced, it has to be "life in tokyo" by japan, the entire "#1 in heaven" EP by sparks, and perhaps "our love" by donna summer. i can't say "I feel love" because it's the default watershed moment of the whole genre and therefore is the automatic first.

'From here to eternity' as a solo artist and 'Beat the clock' by Sparks as a producer.

Favorite Moroder produced track must be The Three Degrees - Giving up, giving in. So much energy. Almost like Let yourself go with The Supremes
