I recently came across a copy of Joe Thomas's 1979 12" single of "Make Your Move". At the time I saw the record I didn't really know much about the track or the artist, however I must say it's been hard putting down the record ever since. What initially attracted me to the record was the fact that it was released on T.K. Records, which doesn't necessarily mean it's going to be good, however, it almost always at least warrants a listen. After the first listen, I knew I found something with it's driving uptempo groove that really lends itself to shaking up a dancefloor. Overall it was a nice find, especially for the lack of familiarity I had with the record. Plus, the record store had the mint copy marked down at two dollars. I guess I wasn't the only one who was unfamiliar.

Hi TJ,
Thank you for posting Make Your Move. You're right, that track is DRIVING. I have Plato's Retreat, which moves along in a slightly lighter style. Thanks for getting my day moving!
Peace, Jerome
I'm definitely going to try to check out more stuff by Thomas, however I have this feeling that "Make Your Move" might end up being my favorite in the long run.
